The IBM 5576-B01 was a keyboard for IBM Japan's PS/V Aptiva line of computers. It used a 106-key JIS layout similar to the one used on the IBM 5576-A01 Keyboard. It used the Mitsumi KPQ Type hybrid switches with dedicated slider guide plate.
Design[edit | edit source]
Unlike other early 5576 keyboards, it used Mitsumi KPQ Type hybrid switches that rely on buckling rubber sleeve, with one-piece pad-printed abs keycaps. The coiled cable of this keyboard is not detachable. The keyboard is also significantly lighter than early 5576 keyboards due to having a thin metal sheet as backplate.
Variants[edit | edit source]
There are some known differences between different revisions of this keyboard, which are controller board, stabilizer wire mount, and color of the membrane traces.
