Years of production | Introduced late 1984 |
The Tandy 1000 Personal Computer was introduced in late 1984 as an IBM PC compatible computer. The system was released prior to the IBM PC-AT and the keyboard was one of the earlier ones to reposition the Function keys horizontally across the top row (as did the earlier released Tandy 2000). The key switches are 3rd generation Fujitsu Leaf Spring and are directly soldered to the PCB. Unlike some other 3rd generation Fujitsu Leaf Spring boards, individual diodes for each key are not present.
