If there's anything I can do to help identify the switches on the board pictured, let me know. They're obviously not blue though :) 002 (talk) 04:43, 30 December 2012 (CET)

Ha. I just got "550 Mailbox quota exceeded" for Focus's sales mailbox. I will try again after the holidays -- I am hoping that they can tell me at least the company names. Probably won't get a look in though if they receive that much mail!
Yours is simplified Alps, one of the four-tab clones. Nothing you can do from that keyboard alone, since we have zero recognition information for brands. This is the most we know — http://kbtalking.cool3c.com/article/8366 — a lot of similar switches with few known companies. The companies we know (Taiwan Tai-Hao, Xiang Min, possibly Strong Man), make very similar switches that are externally almost identical, and the internals are not documented by anyone. APC switches also changed a fair amount over time. Welcome to Alps Hell.
The first step would be to document known switches (Xiang Min KSB-C ("XM"s) from Filco Zeros and Ducky 10NNXM keyboards, Taiwan Tai-Hao APC BSW from Clicker series etc) and compare those to keyboards with unknown switches. The Xiang Min KSB-LE (with LED) in the Tactile Pro 3 only comes apart when unsoldered!
