This page collects together all switches with an uncommon mount shape.

Tee mount[edit | edit source]

Tee mount switches are essentially cross mount switches, with one of the four arms of the cross truncated or missing. The keycap is likely to have a cruciform hole, but the slider is missing part of the cross. Tee shape sliders are only found on vintage keyboards.

Alps SKCC series[edit | edit source]

General Instrument Series S950[edit | edit source]

Known models within General Instrument Series S950:

Cherry[edit | edit source]

Bar mount[edit | edit source]

Negative rectangular[edit | edit source]

Switches with a mount that resembles Alps mount, but are not compatible with Alps mount.

Snap-on[edit | edit source]

In some cases, chiefly Fujitsu membrane keyboards where this is common, the slider may come off with the keycap. The keycap attaches to the slider more securely than the slider attaches to the switch.

Hi-Tek Series 725[edit | edit source]

Below is a brief summary of this series; many other variants exist, but all are broadly similar in shape to the second image.

Topre[edit | edit source]

Key Tronic mount[edit | edit source]

The switches depicted have similar if not identical keycap mounts, and are not proven to be keycap-compatible.
