Logitech is a computer peripherals manufacturer known for its long history in the pointing devices industry. In the days of MS-DOS, Logitech were a rival to Microsoft for the creation of a standard for a PC mouse protocol; Microsoft preferred two-button mice, while Logitech opted for three button mice.
Logitech were a popular OEM for mice for many computer brands. Logitech entered the mechanical keyboard arena with the Cherry MX-based Logitech G710.<ref name="mech-enter" />

Logitech uses the brand "Logicool" in Japan because another "Logitech" already existed there. Sometimes the brand "Logi" is used, supposedly so they don't have to bother printing products differently for different markets.
