A Holy Chickie switch is a a medium stiff, tactile, non-clicky mechanical keyboard switch that is created by replacing the clicky stem in Cherry MX Blue with the tactile stem from a Massdrop×Input.Club Halo True or Clear switch. The final product is a tactile switch that mimics the popular Holy Panda switch.

Note that the spring, housing, and contact leaf of the Cherry MX Blue switch should not be replaced.

Key feel[edit | edit source]

Switch is smoother than stock Cherry MX Blue, with a very rounded and stronger tactile bump. The bump starts early on and continues with a light bottom out.

Availability[edit | edit source]

As of June 1st, 2019, the parts required to build the switch are still in production. The Halo switches have to be bought from Drop.

Extra Notes[edit | edit source]

The Halo True/Clear stems are slightly longer than ordinary Cherry MX switches. A popular mod is to cut off a portion of the bottom of the stem, which could lead to increased key travel.
