Cherry MX-M8 Adapter is an uncommon variant of Cherry MX switch. The slider is extended in height and provides a small platform to allow it to take lower profile Cherry M8 keycaps.<ref name="M8-keycaps" /> The stem height above the platform is the same as the height of the stem on a regular MX switch.
Variants have been found with both black and white sliders. For the most part they appear to have identical springs, with a single example found with a different spring. Both examples have been found as PCB mount with jumpers.
