The keyboard was produced by Ampex for use with their 230 terminal introduced in 1985. The keyboard is no longer in production.

The Ampex 230 plus was manufactured for Ampex by Hi-Tek Corporation.
Switches[edit | edit source]
The Ampex 230 plus keyboard uses linear, two eye, white Hi-Tek Series 725 switches for all keys.
Keycaps[edit | edit source]
The keycaps are made of PBT and the legends are dye sublimated . The keys are sculpted, i.e. each row has its own profile. For more information see Hi-Tek Series 725.
