Developed by Navcor with the goal of providing magnetic reed switches with an activation point that was consistent between all switches in a give batch or keyboard. This was achieved with a switch containing an adjustable reed holder and a patented system for adjusting the position of this holder to set the activation point.

The switch design and system for adjustment are described in US patent #3,601,728 which was filed 3 Oct 1969.
