Scheduled to ship in April 2019, the Ultimate Hacking Keyboard is a split mechanical keyboard which utilizes Cherry MX type switches. It has four layers, each of them accessed through a specific dedicated key and fully programmable. Custom keymaps can be stored in the on-board memory.

The keyboard consists of two separable halves connected by a bridge cable which expands and shrinks as needed.

The halves are connected by steel guides mounted to the stainless steel plates that form the endoskeleton of the keyboard, allowing merging them together as one piece for transportation or use as a one-piece keyboard. The bridge cable can then be unplugged due to the presence of connectors between the halves.

The keyboards are built to order, with different colors and keycap print schemes (or lack thereof). Customers can chose between Kailh brown, blue, red and black switches as well as Cherry MX clear and green. A beechwood handrest and the add-on modules can be ordered separately.

The UHK can be extended with add-on modules such as a trackball, trackpoint, touchpad, or a key cluster. Given its open protocol additional modules can be designed by third-parties.

The layout uses a few keys with non-standard sizes in order to make the keyboard halves more symmetrical, making it difficult to replace some of the keycaps.
