Strong Man SMK-8851 compact refers to SMK-8851 models that internally use a specific compact assembly. The FCC ID is shared with the full-size keyboards.
Description[edit | edit source]
With the exception of the space between the function key row and the remainder of the keys, there are no gaps in the layout, just as with a laptop keyboard. The case style varies from minimalist all the way to up to large (as with the kids' keyboard) but the internal assembly seems to be the same.
Antek KF-91R and Zebra SMK-8851 share the identical PCB.

The ports are Mini-DIN-4, suggesting ADB (making this a Macintosh keyboard), but this is not clear. The switch details are explained in the external link, but they are lost in translation. The photos imply alps.tw Type T5 from the yellow colour, and the page does mention this class of switch (narrow movable contact pressing) but this is by no means certain.

While the kids keyboard is externally different, internally the keyboard is the same. The PCB below is identical to the PCB above. (The keyboard pictured is a Channel Team CK-Kids.)
