Spherical and cylindrical keycap profiles

A spherical keycap is a type of keycap molding that forms the top of the keycap to a sphere. Spherical keycaps were the de facto design for many years up to the early 80s, when computer manufacturers switched over to the simpler and cleaner-looking cylindrical profile, where the top of the keycap forms part of a cylinder. The Acorn BBC Micro (1981) and Commodore 64 (1982) in particular used spherical keycaps, while the Apple Lisa (1983) and the Apple Macintosh (1984) used cylindrical keycaps.
