Talk:Staggering

I will try to create some graphics at some point to illustrate the mechanical design constraints that lead to the strange stagger offsets on the modern keyboard. I first discovered this when my sister got an antique mechanical typewriter and I started examining it. When the light bulb went off in my head, I was staggered to realize I finally had an explanation for the stagger offsets I had noticed. I hope this page is an appropriate spot to start spreading this arcane bit of historical knowledge.
