Introduction[edit | edit source]

KBT Pure is a 60% keyboard from KBT. It comes in two standard versions, one with backlighting (with black-painted ABS keycaps) and one without backlighting (with PBT keycaps). The keyboard also came in a limited edition with a low profile aluminium case<ref>Deskthority — KBT Pure limited edition aluminum</ref>.

The KBT Pure was released after the original Poker, manufactured by KBC. The two keyboards share a lot of similarities, but most notably differ in that the Pure has a short right shift with a 1 unit key to the right of it, which serves the function of Menu/Apps key. The Pure uses both PCB mounted Cherry MX switches and PCB mounted Cherry stabilisers.

The functions layer has been heavily revisited and the PCB has got an extra mounting point between the G and H keys, to add support and give a more sturdy feeling compared to the original Poker. Even though the keyboard came in both a backlit and non-backlit version, it was still possible to add LEDs to the non-backlit version as the PCB was the same.

Case[edit | edit source]

The case on the KBT Pure is the same as the one used on the Poker II with mounting points for the PCB being the same. It's the same case as on the original Poker apart from the added mounting point between the G and H keys.

Function layer[edit | edit source]

The functions key (FN) is placed to the immediate right of the spacebar, allowing the clustered modifiers including the right shift to work as arrow keys, which can be locked in that function by pressing FN+Space.
