All four models have [[Alps keyboard codes]] (12KC codes) on the PCBs; without the FD prefixes, these codes would come in around 1980 (and FD-102A's PCB does lack the FD prefix). The cases are all but identical in all models (except at least the FDA-102I), but the PCBs differ significantly. ==Models== The total list of matching FCC IDs is as follows: {| class="wikitable" ! FCC ID !! Final action date |- | F4Z4K3FDA-102 || 1988-03-24 |- | F4Z4K3FDA-102A || 1988-10-21 |- | F4Z4K3FDA-102C || 1990-03-29 |- | F4Z4K3FDA-102D || 1990-04-30 |- | F4Z4K3FDA-102E || 1990-08-20 |- | F4Z4K3FDA-102F || 1991-07-24 |- | F4Z4K3FDA-102G || 1992-02-28 |- | F4Z4K3FDA-102H || 1993-06-07 |- | F4Z4K3FDA-102I || 1994-05-09 |} ===FDA-102=== The example below is Tatung-branded. This example used pad-printed keycaps, whose legends had worn badly. Consequently, many of the keycaps were replaced. The original and replacement keycaps are shown below. The controller IC is dated 6th week 1990, and the PCB is marked FD-12KC004B. The switches are [[Alps SKCM White]]. <gallery widths=250 heights=187> File:Forward FDA-102 -- top.jpg | Top File:Forward FDA-102 -- bottom.jpg | Bottom File:Forward FDA-102 -- internals with some keycaps.jpg | Internals with some original keycaps File:Forward FDA-102 -- internals.jpg | Internals File:Forward FDA-102 -- controller.jpg | Controller File:Forward FDA-102 -- PCB.jpg | PCB File:Forward FDA-102 -- original and replacement keycaps.jpg | Original and replacement keycaps File:Forward FDA-102 -- various.jpg | Various </gallery> ===FDA-102A=== The example below is Tatung-branded. It uses pine [[Alps SKCM White]] switches. The PCB inscription is 12KC009A (without the FD prefix) and the controller date is week 31, 1991, which is significantly later than the final action date of the FCC ID for the later FDA-102D. <gallery widths=250 heights=187> File:Forward FDA-102A -- top.jpg File:Forward FDA-102A -- top, showing switches.jpg File:Forward FDA-102A -- bottom.jpg File:Forward FDA-102A -- keycap detail.jpg File:Forward FDA-102A -- internals.jpg File:Forward FDA-102A -- PCB.jpg File:Forward FDA-102A -- various, 1.jpg File:Forward FDA-102A -- various, 2.jpg </gallery> ===FDA-102A By SANYO=== The example below is SANYO-branded. This later example has [[Alps SKBM White]] (simplified) switches, unfortunately not depicted. The PCB is inscribed FD-12KC009A1, and the controller date is 21st week 95. Depending on the length of time that the controller ICs were stockpiled, there is a suggestion that [[Alps SKBL/SKBM series]] was introduced in 1995 instead of 1996. <gallery widths=250 heights=187> File:Forward FDA-102D -- top.jpg | Top File:Forward FDA-102D -- side.jpg | Side File:Forward FDA-102D -- bottom.jpg | Bottom File:Forward FDA-102D -- keycap detail.jpg | Keycap detail File:Forward FDA-102D -- internals.jpg | Internals File:Forward FDA-102D -- PCB.jpg | PCB File:Forward FDA-102D -- various.jpg | Various </gallery> ===FDA-102I=== The example below is a Packard Bell-branded board, using [[Monterey dome with slider]] switches. The PCB is inscribed 12KC038A. This board uses a PS/2 connector and has a [[Focus layout]]. Interestingly, this example uses a 1.25-unit Escape key, just like those in some [[BTC dome with slider]] keyboards, mainly the [[BTC 51 series]]. <!-- Couldn't upload the files right now (DT overhaul), will upload when the issue is fixed. -mcmaxmcmc --> <gallery widths=250 heights=187> File:Forward FDA-102I -- Keyboard.jpg | FDA-102I Keyboard File:Forward FDA-102I -- Bottom.jpg | Bottom File:Forward FDA-102I -- Label.jpg | Label File:Forward FDA-102I -- Top.jpg | Switches File:Forward FDA-102I -- Keycap detail.jpg | Keycap detail File:Forward FDA-102I -- PCB.jpg | PCB File:Forward FDA-102I -- PS2 Port.jpg | PS/2 Port </gallery> ==External links== *KBtalKing — [http://kbtalking.cool3c.com/article/6962 ■1■大同老鍵盤FDA-102(ALPS原生白軸)■] *KBtalKing — [http://kbtalking.cool3c.com/article/7031 ■2■大同老鍵盤FDA-102A(ALPS原生白軸)■] *KBtalKing — [http://kbtalking.cool3c.com/article/7083 ■3■大同老鍵盤FDA-102D (ALPS簡易軸)■] *Sandy55 — [http://sandy55.fc2web.com/keyboard/forward_pb.html forward_pb] (Packard Bell FD-102A) [[Category:Forward Electronics keyboards]] [[Category:Keyboards with Alps SKCL/SKCM switches]] [[Category:List of all keyboards]]
