The IBM 5576 keyboards were a series of keyboards for IBM Japan's PS/55 line of computers which were produced from 1987 to 1995. They were made by a variety of manufacturers using a variety of switch types, and are PS/2 compatible. The designation was also given to some cost reduced rubber dome/sleeve keyboards that were used on PS/V Aptiva, the successors to the PS/55 line. While earlier members of the 5576 series were quite similar, later designs deviated such that it is hard to define common attributes for these keyboards. ==Keyboards== ===IBM 5576-001=== IBM 5576-001 Keyboard This version has Alps Plate Spring. ===IBM 5576-002=== IBM 5576-002 Keyboard This version has Alps Plate Spring. ===IBM 5576-003=== IBM 5576-003 Keyboard This version has Brother buckling spring and a standalone numpad with the same switch mechanism (P/N: 65X1138), which was sold separately, can be connected to it via PS/2. ===IBM 5576-A01=== IBM 5576-A01 Keyboard This version has Brother buckling springs. ===IBM 5576-B01=== IBM 5576-B01 Keyboard This version has Mitsumi KPQ Type hybrid switches. ===IBM 5576-C01=== IBM 5576-C01 Keyboard This version has a TrackPoint II pointing stick with two mouse buttons and uses IBM buckling spring. ===IBM 5576-B05=== This version is a plain rubber dome OADG109 JIS layout keyboard with Windows keys, manufactured by Chicony as a rebranded KB-5923/8923 variant.
