The PC-8801mkII keyboard uses early Futaba clicky switches and Futaba lock switches.

The keyboard uses both push and latching switches, and the push switches are of three separate weights. The switches themselves are around 60 gf, with conical external springs added for extra force. The switch types are as follows (weights are approximate):
