stub The IBM 5576-003 was a keyboard for IBM Japan's PS/55 line of computers. It used a 89-key JP ISO layout similar to the OADG106 JIS layout used on the IBM 5576-A01 but the sub-legends are more similar to the IBM 5576-002. It used the Brother buckling spring switches, and had a terminal emulator variant. The scancode it used was different from standard JIS keyboards. ==Design== It used Brother buckling springs, with two-piece dye-sublimated keycaps (incompatible with the two-piece keycaps used on the Model M and Model F). The keyboard is attached to the PS/55 with a detachable PS/2 cable that uses an SDL connector different to the ones used on the Model M. The keyboard also features an integrated beep speaker and volume slider. It has two PS/2 ports which are used as downstream to connect a PS/2 mouse and the standalone numpad (P/N: 65X1138) that can be used together. ==Variants== ===3479-JA3=== This was an 89-key 3270 terminal emulation board. It was identical to the 5576-003 except for different key legends. ==Gallery== <gallery widths=250 heights=187> File:5576-003.jpg | IBM 5576-003 keyboard. File:3479-JA3.jpg | The 3479-JA3 variant.
