stub The IBM Model M 50-keys is a sub-tenkeyless matrix-layout buckling spring keyboard. Judging from the specialized keycap labels it might have been used as a cashiers keyboard or similar. A variant exists that uses relegendable keycaps instead. The M50 internal assembly is heavy, while the plastic clips that keep the assembly centered are very thin. The plastic clips can get damaged in shipping, even if the keyboard is well packed, if the package gets a lateral shock (for example if it gets dropped on its side). If buying an M50 it's recommended to ask the seller to disassemble the keyboard, and separately bubble-wrap the assembly and the case. <gallery widths=250 heights=187> File:IBM Model M 50-keys 02.jpg | Closeup, keys File:IBM Model M 50-keys 03.jpg | Bottom case with sticker File:IBM Model M 50-keys 04.jpg | Closeup sticker, bottom case File:IBM Model M 50-keys 05.jpg | Side view File:IBM Model M 50-keys 06.jpg | Without upper case File:IBM Model M 50-keys 07.jpg | Metal plate with sticker File:IBM Model M 50-keys 08.jpg | 2-Piece keycap and switch spring File:IBM Model M 50-keys 09.jpg | Rear view </gallery> ==References== <references/>
