eVolution STREAM XT Corded ("STREAM XT" in the manual, and "eVolution STREAM XT Corded MultiMedia Keyboard" in the datasheet) is a low-cost scissor switch keyboard from Cherry.
Description[edit | edit source]
The layout is conventional. Across the top is a row of six media keys: volume down, mute, volume up, previous track, play/pause, and next track. A fixed USB cable is fitted, and a USB to PS/2 adapter is supplied. The flip-out feet are not rubber coated.
The main 104 or 105 keys take the form of a membrane and scissor assembly that appears to be secured using heat staking. The media keys appear to be standard rubber dome over membrane keys, albeit with custom oval-shaped keycaps; this assembly has its own metal backplate, but appears to share the membranes of the main switch assembly. The membrane connection to the controller PCB is via a connector that allows easy insertion and removal.
The article numbers begin with G85-23100 (most variants) and G85-23100 (a small number of variants), while the keyboard itself gives a model of "G230" on the label.
The UL File Number on the rear label is E141395, giving Sunrex Technology as the OEM. The controller PCB was supplied by Walex Electronic (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. (UL File Number E154355).
