===Required tools===
* Metal spudger (case separator), sharp slotted screwdriver, or butter knife
* Phillips (cross-point) screwdriver

===Steps===
#Turn the keyboard face down on a non-scratchy surface!
#Take a screwdriver and destroy the warranty invalidation sticker. (Maybe it's obvious, but this also voids your warranty.)
#Remove the screw with a cross point screwdriver.
#Turn the keyboard back into typing position.
#Remove all keycaps to prevent damaging them when opening the case, as they sometimes obstruct the top of it.
#Hook all eight of your fingernails under the little gap between the upper and lower case halves, then push the rear of the top cover away from you using your thumbs. Work from one side to the other until the case is open. If your fingernails are too short, or if you are concerned about your nail polish, use a credit card. The keyboard's back will easily pop open. 
#Now work from one side of the front to the other. (The keyboard must be turned 180 degrees so the spacebar is away from you.)
#To finally separate both halves, insert the metal spudger, screwdriver or butter knife between the upper and lower case halves and work them apart.
