Cherry MX Speed Silver is a linear variant of the Cherry MX switch, and is Cherry's official name. The RGB equivalent is Cherry MX Speed RGB Silver.
Description[edit | edit source]
It has a shorter actuation distance than others at 1.2 mm for faster presses in gaming. The total travel distance is also shorter at 3.4 mm.
The slider material contains metallic particles to give it a silvery appearance.
This switch is available in two variants:
- MX3A-51NN without pins
- MX3A-51NW with pins for PCB-mounting
The sides of the movable contact, that the slider engages, are lubricated.
Key feel[edit | edit source]
