==Variants== The total number of variants manufactured is not known. Listed below are the variants discovered to date. ===Conductive rubber disc=== Found in the Commodore 8032-SK and related machines, this has a small conductive rubber disc at the bottom of the slider. This has been found in an effectively linear form with a helical spring, and the circuit pathways are on a PCB. The following images are from an 8032-SK: <gallery widths=250 heights=187> File:Commodore 8032-SK keyboard -- top assembly, top.jpg | Top assembly, top view File:Commodore 8032-SK keyboard -- top assembly, bottom.jpg | Top assembly, bottom view File:Commodore 8032-SK keyboard -- wide zero keycap.jpg | Hollow keycap and mount adapter File:Commodore 8032-SK keyboard -- switch, front view.jpg | Front view of the switch File:Commodore 8032-SK keyboard -- PCB.jpg | PCB File:Commodore 8032-SK keyboard -- slider with keycap.jpg | Slider with keycap attached; the spring does not normally extend that far down File:Commodore 8032-SK keyboard -- movable parts, 2.jpg | Movable parts, including keycaps; the sliders use the old toothed cylindrical mount, and the keycap uses an adapter File:Commodore 8032-SK keyboard -- movable parts, 1.jpg | Movable parts, including keycaps File:Commodore 8032-SK keyboard -- slider, side.jpg | Side view of slider File:Commodore 8032-SK keyboard -- slider, bottom.jpg | Bottom view of slider </gallery> ===Wide foot=== Mitsumi KSD Type These versions use a tall keystem with a laterally suspended pad. The pressure type (KSD Type) such as that found in the Atari 800 (pictured below) appears to use a pair of membranes over a PCB. These are pressure actuated using small rubber pads, attached to a rubber arc that flexes to provide the overtravel. KSR type covers the version with conductive pads over a plain PCB. <gallery widths=250 heights=187> File:Atari 800 -- Mitsumi keyboard, bottom.jpg | Rear view showing underside of PCB File:Atari 800 -- Mitsumi keyboard, PCB and membranes.jpg | PCB with two membrane layers File:Atari 800 -- Mitsumi keyboard, bottom, PCB removed.jpg | PCB removed, revealing the sliders File:Atari 800 -- Mitsumi keyboard, slider plate.jpg | Slider plate File:Mitsumi hybrid switch, linear -- components.jpg | Switch components; note the external return springs and cruciform sliders </gallery> ===Conductive foot over membrane=== Mitsumi KPQ Type This version provides a wide conductive rubber foot, attached to a similar rubber arc as in the pressure version. KPQ Type covers tactile switches and KPR Type covers linear switches; both types use a single membrane layer for the keyboard matrix. <gallery widths=250 heights=187> File:Mitsumi hybrid -- tactile -- switches.jpg | Mitsumi-made Apple Keyboard II File:Mitsumi KPQ-E99ZC-12 UK -- switches, top.jpg | Mitsumi KPQ-E99ZC File:Mitsumi KPQ-E99ZC-12 UK -- sliders and sleeves.jpg | Switch components from a KPQ-E99ZC </gallery> ===Conductive foot over PCB=== Mitsumi KKQ Type KKQ and KKR types are externally visibly identical to KPQ and KPR types, but internally they use a PCB instead of a membrane sheet for the keyboard matrix. <gallery widths=250 heights=187> File:Commodore CDTV - keyboard mechanism bottom.JPG | Commodore CDTV keyboard seen from below, showing PCB File:Commodore CDTV - space bar rubber sleeve and springs.JPG | Commodore CDTV space bar arrangement File:Commodore CDTV - caps lock spring.JPG | Commodore CDTV caps lock spring </gallery>
