'''[[Unitek]]''' outsourced the production of K-258 to two Taiwanese OEMs resulting in two different keyboards with the same (model) name:
* [[NTC]] (Nan Tan Computer Co.) manufactured two versions of the K-258 (this keyboard version was also sold/known as NTC KB-6551 as imprinted on its board). The earlier version used a steel plate and [[Alps SKCM White]] switches, while a cheaper version was made with a plastic plate and [[Alps SKBM White]] switches.
* [[Dah Yang]] (Dah Yang Industry Co Ltd) also manufactured a [[Cherry MX Blue]] version of the K-258
