The '''IBM 5576-001''' was a keyboard for IBM Japan's [[IBM PS/55 Keyboards |PS/55]] line of computers. It used a terminal-style layout similar to the ones used on the [[IBM Multistation Keyboards|IBM 5556 keyboards]]. They used the [[Alps plate spring]] switches, and had terminal emulator variants.

==Design==
As with [[IBM 5576-002 Keyboard | 5576-002]], it used Alps plate spring switches, with two-piece dye-sublimated keycaps (incompatible with the two-piece keycaps used on the Model M and Model F). The keyboard is attached to the PS/55 with a detachable PS/2 cable that uses an SDL connector different to the ones used on the Model M. The keyboard also features an integrated beep speaker and volume slider. Earlier boards used PCB mounted switches, whereas later ones were plate mounted.

===3479-JA1===
This was a 124-key 3270 terminal emulation board. It was identical to the 5576-001 except for different key legends.

===3479-JA4===
This was a 125-key 5250 terminal emulation board. It was also PS/2 compatible, and was largely similar to the 5576-001 except for the slightly different physical layout.
