===Nomenclature===
Many Datacomp keyboards are obtained without their box or documentation, and many older Datacomp keyboards lack a model number on the outside of the keyboard. Such keyboards tend to be identified by the model number written on the [[PCB]]. However, as with various other brands, the product model and PCB model do not always match. For example, the keyboard depicted on the [[Datacomp DFK192]] page has model number "DFK192AGRBA09" written on the label, while the PCB is marked "DFK-191M".

Most wiki entries use the convention of omitting the hyphen in the model number; this is how Datacomp list current models on their website, although the leaflet supplied with the [[Datacomp DCK84]] does include the hyphen.
