No mention of the other colours of Alps?βkrltv Add them! :D --Webwit 04:48, 9 April 2012 (CEST) "When looking at original Alps CM switches, it is also safe to say that switches without a logo are generally the older, complicated variant. Clones do not have the Alps logo on them at all. " Is that supposed to be 'the switches with a logo'? -off :No, the original SKCL/SKCM switches only had a logo on the bottom, which was great for clone makers! In 1989, Alps added a logo to the top of the switch for brand recognition, and complicated switches continued for at least another seven years. As such, complicated Alps are fairly evenly split between logo and no logo, but in practice the odds are higher than complicated Alps will be found with a logo. I think the point the article was making is that simplified Alps always had a logo on top, so genuine Alps switches in the SKCL/SKCM/SKBL/SKBM style without a logo on top will be complicated. Since then, we've realised that the simplified series is visually quite distinct anyway. Daniel Beardsmore (talk) 09:58, 14 December 2016 (CET) I have a Ducky DK1087 here with what appear to be Green ALPS switches. They are tactile and clicky, but the wiki reads "linear" for Green. --Captain 21:25, 30 June 2012 (CEST) You have XM Simplifieds. Different beast entirely -ripster--Ripster 23:00, 29 June 2012 (CEST) Icarium: so what kind of alps switches are there? fukka, xm, cm? and how do these names relate to complicated/simplified/fake? :) I have complicated Green Alps CM, these are like red cherries, but a bit smoother. --Webwit 22:12, 29 June 2012 (CEST) TIL how to do a fancy signature. Hit the pencil icon above!--Ripster 23:01, 29 June 2012 (CEST) --Ripster 23:01, 29 June 2012 (CEST) Or just type four tildes. I thought it was three tildes like in wikipedia, which is why I signed manualy. Thanks! I don't find a wiki page for XM Simplifieds. They are not real ALPS anyway, right? --Captain 21:25, 30 June 2012 (CEST) Well, in the case of type 1 FUHUA (not fucking FUKKA) was using the same molds and equipment. Matias is the expert on these.--Ripster 00:00, 1 July 2012 (CEST)
