Construction[edit | edit source]

Similar to the previous Apple Pro Keyboard but the case is a smaller wedge-shape instead of a curved back and hump. The USB hub's ports go out the back instead of the sides.

It identifies over USB as being manufactured by "Mitsumi Electric". Some software tools may recognise it as "Apple Pro Keyboard" even though the product ID is different.

Variations[edit | edit source]

The 2003 models used USB 1.1. In 2005, it was updated to use USB 2.0.

Reception[edit | edit source]

It is infamous for gathering dust and grime that is visible within its clear plastic shell.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

There have been malicious USB dongles that have identified as this keyboard over USB. They have sent Windows+R to open a command prompt in Microsoft Windows, followed by a command sequence to bring up a web browser to a web page with malware.<ref>Ferretronix.com—evil USB dongles.
