The keyboard was produced by [[Ampex]] for use with their 230 terminal introduced in 1985.
The keyboard is no longer in production.

The Ampex 230 plus was manufactured for Ampex by [[Hi-Tek Corporation]]. 

==Switches==
The Ampex 230 plus keyboard uses linear, two eye, white [[Hi-Tek Series 725]] switches for all keys.

==Keycaps==
The keycaps are made of PBT and the legends are [[Keycap_printing#Dye_sublimation|dye sublimated]] . The keys are sculpted, i.e. each row has its own [[Keyboard profile|profile]]. For more information see [[Hi-Tek Series 725]].
