Volker-Craig VC404 is a computer terminal. The keyboard unit is model KB-4412; the single PCB is drilled or pressed for either Datanetics DC-50 series or MEI T-5 series switches<ref>Deskthority — KB-4412 - What is it?</ref>, and either "DA" or "MEI" is marked accordingly at the bottom left by an additional drilled or pressed hole against the relevant legend. Both these switch series are PCB mount, and so neither version has a mounting plate.

The caps lock key uses a latching switch, and disused keys are blocked from being pressed. The Break and Rub Out keycaps in both versions are too small, leaving a gap between keys where the PCB is visible.
